International Scientific Conference Circular Economy in Wooden Construction (WOOD in CIRCLE): ERASMUS+ project outputs for higher education, September 29-30, 2022

Within the framework of Erasmus+ project Wood in Circle international scientific conference “Circular Economy in Wooden Construction (WOOD in CIRCLE): ERASMUS+ project outputs for higher education” took place on September 29-30, 2022 in Riga. Conference was organized within the programme “European Commission Erasmus+ Programme: KA2 Strategic Partnership Project – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices. KA203 – Strategic Partnerships for higher education”.

Conference was organized in hybrid mode – with face-to-face and remote participation options. Conference was organized by Institute of Civil Engineering and Real Estate Economics (ICEREE) of Riga Technical University (RTU).

Conference was opened by Prof. Ineta Geipele (RTU), Martins Auders (Ministry of Economics, Latvia) and Laura Tupenaite (VGTU, Lithuania), and moderated by Janis Zvirgzdins (RTU). Project partners from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Italy presented the results and achievements of the Wood in Circle project. One of the students from RTU – Jurgis Bulins, Master’s student of RTU ICEREE, who participated in Intensive learning courses in Finland and Italy shared insights from student’s perspective revealing the value of participation in Erasmus+ Wood in Circle project.

International Scientific Conference “Circular Economy in Wooden Construction (WOOD in CIRCLE): ERASMUS+ project outputs for higher education” (29.09.-30.09.2022.) was attended by total amount of 144 participants from 20 countries over 2 days.
